ESEB Congress 2015
During this hot summer of 2015, the Department of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Lausanne welcomes in the participants of the 15th biennial congress of the European Society for Evolutionary Biology!
For the week of August 10-14, we expect over 1400 people to be attending 5 plenary lectures and a large selection of oral and poster presentations spread among 35 symposiums. With so many presentations to choose from, even those who managed to make it all the way to Lausanne won’t be able to attend everything they wanted to. This blog will serve as a portal through which anyone, whether or not they’re attending the conference and whether or not they are a scientist, can read about the research presented at ESEB 2015.
Get involved!
To power the blog, we’d like to get as many people involved as possible.
If you’re attending or presenting at the conference and you blog or tweet, we want to hear from you so we can link out to your material.
For those of you that don’t blog, but would want to write an article (or several articles), we would like to offer you our own blog as a platform. To set you up with guest access for posting, we’ll just need you to send us an email with your WordPress account details, or if you don’t have a WordPress account yet you can create a free one (you don’t need to create a blog).
Examples of what you could post include:
- Highlights of the day: recapitulation posts to give an overall summary of the events of each day.
- Presentation and poster summaries (with or without commentary)
- Behind the scenes: tell the backstory of your own presented work and/or what it was like to present at the conference.
- Miscellany: Anything else related to the conference.
Guidelines – Posts will be moderated and are expected to be civil and adhere to the tweetiquette of the conference. While we encourage authors to use their real names, feel free to use a pseudonym if you would like to remain anonymous.
